[[OOC Note: If it's in italics, it's Zulu.]]

I find it strange I haven't felt any side effects from this medication. It has not "cured" me either, not surprisingly. I don't want to sound unkind, but I believe the scientists creating this only concocted a dud. Though, I am sorry to those of you experiencing illnesses and problems, I wish I could help you.

Trevor, are you well? I haven't seen you around.

I've never disliked the American people, I find many of them to be nice and open. That is what America is supposed to stand for; a oneness with each other. Yet these men and women creating these pills are not working toward acceptance. Shame. I can understand why there are people out there and among my village who dislike the USA. It's easier to follow one law for all in many of the other countries than the Freedom of Speech they allow here. Which, from my few days of class and reading the news papers, is not so free.

I'm still glad I came here, even if I do not wish to be cured of my "disease" any longer. I have made friends and hope to make more. There are several people here I'd like to get to know better as well. I worry about
Trevor; he sleeps in the grass a lot? That can't be healthy, considering he already grew sick once. I'll visit him in a few days after my homework is straightened out. I have more than I anticipated!

I'm amazed at how easily I lose track of time when I'm jogging. I left my room this morning at six and when I finally got back it was eight. It was a nice run.

The weather here is much more mild than back at home; I like it. Though it's a shame the people here don't seem to be used to the heat like we are. I suppose it's just something you get used to, but all of these working air conditioners make me laugh a bit. I really shouldn't be finding it funny, but I have. The difference is shocking.

[Private to Trevor] Are you feeling better now that it's been a few days? I know it can take some time to recover from heat stroke if you get it bad.

I have to say, I like it here in America. While I miss home, this country is much better. I can see why so many people strive to live here. Though, I'm not sure I would stay in Missouri. Very quiet. But perhaps that is because it's the summer.

Father would probably not be pleased with my new decision, but this seems like a good place. I’ve come to the understanding with myself that it’s okay to be who I am, which, from what I’ve heard, was probably faster than a lot of other guys. But that aside, I think things will turn out for the best. I’ve always been told to think positive, and so I will.

I’m going to tell people here to call me Zeke. Monique called me something like it last week, and I think I’d be easier on students and teachers. There are some strange names here, but apparently Zulu is not a language they understand. It’s a good thing I speak English, or this would be difficult! I just hope to make friends quickly, it’d be a waste not to. Such opportunity.

I’m taking a lot of history courses, one of them actually (as far as I know) is meant to be taken next year. Their school system is confusing here, but I’ll get used to it.
